Founded in 2004, Jeng Academic Center, Inc. provides tutoring services in English reading, writing,
pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Biology, AP Spanish,
AP English, AP Chinese, SAT test preparation, and college admission counseling. At JAC, we practice an
old yet simple philosophy of cultivating in students the habit of focus and concentration to attain clear thinking and an
orderly mind for understanding and mastery of all subjects studied. We stress the importance of consistent, long-term reading
of both English classics and modern writings-
including fictions and non-fictions¾ as a way of enlarging the students’
inner world, enriching their mental capacities, and improving their ability to express themselves with eloquence. Time is
an essential element in this philosophy and is reflected in the way we teach: No crash courses just for the sake of test-taking.
Math, another vital pillar in the hall of learning, is rigorously taught and instilled starting at fourth grade to build a
strong foundation for students’ later advancement. A solid grip on the basics of arithmetic operations and a systematic
training in pre-algebra and algebra, combined with sufficient practices, almost always ensure a smooth road to higher math
